The present lot boasts a mysterious dial that is actually completely see-through except for the hands indicating the time. It was the first and only completely see-through chronograph wristwatch when it was released in the year 2000 by its manufacturer Quinting.

The brand is still rather young and was started by 5 engineers in 1993. They embarked on the quest to design and manufacture a chronograph wristwatch that is completely see-through. After 7 years of research and 15 million dollars of investments necessary to launch and patent their product, they finally achieved their goal in the year 2000.
