The reference 5000 was launched in 1992 and stayed in production for a decade. It is distinguishable thanks to the subsidiary seconds being placed at 5 o'clock, as it was the case for some early Patek Philippe pocket watches. Quite successful at the time, the collection was expanded from white gold, such as the present example, to yellow and pink gold.
