A Chinese Export Famille-Rose Silver-Mounted Ewer and Cover and Chamfered Rectangular Basin
Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period, 1735-40
清乾隆 1735-40年 粉彩仕女庭院圖蓋壺連八方大盆
the pear-shaped ewer decorated on the exterior with a scene of two ladies holding floral sprigs, one standing at a pavilion, the other strolling through a fenced garden, all underneath a border painted with blossoms and fruits, the cover and basin similarly decorated
length of basin 13 1/4 in.; 33.5 cm

A basin with the same pattern was sold in these rooms, January 31st, 1991, lot 471. A pair of pot-pourri jars and covers, formerly in the Tibor Collection, sold Christie's New York, January 7th-20th, 2021. A charger was sold at Christie's London, October 29th, 1990, lot 146.
