Conceived by visionary watchmaker Dr. Ludwig Oechslin, Ulysse Nardin's Astronomical Trilogy stands among the most remarkable achievements in modern horology, comprising the Astrolabium Galileo Galilei, Planetarium Copernicus and Tellurium Johannes Kepler. Together, the three watches translate highly complex astronomical calculations into mechanical form, displaying celestial information that had rarely before been incorporated into wristwatches.

Introduced in 1985, the Astrolabium Galileo Galilei was the first wristwatch capable of displaying the positions of the sun, moon and stars as viewed from Earth, together with local and solar time, eclipses and other astronomical indications. The Planetarium Copernicus followed in 1988, combining geocentric and heliocentric concepts to illustrate the movements and relative positions of the planets, zodiac signs and lunar cycle with precision. Completing the trilogy in 1992, the Tellurium Johannes Kepler depicts the relationship between the Earth, Moon and Sun, distinguished by its cloisonné enamel Earth, hand-engraved movement and rotor, and the use of captivating mystery hands. Offered together, these three extraordinary timepieces represent a landmark union of scientific ingenuity, artistic craftsmanship and mechanical innovation.
