Perhaps nothing encapsulates the rebellious spirit of the 60s better than the Cartier Crash. First released in 1967 in the London boutique, the asymmetrical case shape challenged conventional watchmaking and stood as a symbol of non-conformity for the defiant decade. Thanks to its cultural significance and the unique case shape, the Cartier crash has captivated the eyes for generations. Despite its notoriety, the Cartier Crash was produced in extremely limited numbers with fewer than a dozen first series London Crash believed to be produced.
This present example was part of the 267 Cartier Crash unveiled in 2014 and offers a modern rendition of the now iconic Cartier. Adorned with a diamond-set bezel together with an equally rare pink gold case, the example exudes an aura of contemporary watchmaking with an iconic design from an iconic era.
