Enameling is one of the most challenging forms of rare handcrafts in the Swiss watch industry. Requiring extremely high temperatures upwards of 800 celsius, every factor, from the colour reactivity to the metal preparation, has to be flawless. As such, it takes artists years, maybe decades, to master this technique to a level where Franck Muller demonstrates with this present example as seen with the depiction of the continent of Asia. Handcrafted using traditional cloisonné techniques, this timepiece pays tribute to the brand’s deep rooted ties to Asia and for sure would be a center piece for any and all Asian Franck Muller collectors.
