The present watch features a movement architecture representative of fine late 19th-century Swiss watchmaking. The high quality movement is fitted with a bi-metallic compensation balance and a counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, designed to improve stability and precision.

The watch showcases a variety of decorative techniques. Its guilloché and champlevé enamel case features a finely painted enamel miniature on each side, framed by intricate gold engraving. The sophistication of the decoration is particularly remarkable given the watch’s diminutive diameter of only 34 mm.

The Jeanneret name is associated with numerous Swiss watchmakers, notably those active in Saint-Imier and La Chaux-de-Fonds. The family is perhaps best known for establishing the movement manufacturer Excelsior Park.
