The No. 5 is built around a satellite hours display, in which rotating hour discs traverse a fixed minute scale, transforming the reading of time into a sequential mechanical action rather than a static indication.
In the present example, this system is partially exposed through the dial, allowing the rotation and transfer of the hour satellites to be observed directly. The construction is deliberately literal, with the mechanism left visible rather than concealed behind a conventional dial, reinforcing the watch’s emphasis on process over presentation.
Driven by a Miyota 90S5 base calibre adapted to accommodate the satellite hours display, the watch is defined less by decorative finishing than by clarity of construction. The stainless steel case remains restrained and functional, placing focus on the display architecture itself.
