Canova's Danzatrice con le mani sui fianchi (1805-1812) and Danzatrice col dito al mento (1809-1814) are often found as pendants but the former model pre-dates the latter by a few years. The original plaster models for both figures survive in the Gipsoteca Possagno (inventory nos. 168 and 196 respectively) while the primary marble version of Danzatrice con le mani sui fianchi is in the Hermitage and the primary marble of Danzatrice col dito al mento is in the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica in Rome.
