Description
A Roman Bronze Oil Lamp
circa 1st/2nd Century A.D.
in the form of an ithyphallic satyr seated on the ground and raising his right hand, his left resting on his knee, his scowling face with long moustache and goatee, his hair falling in tight curls over the forehead, pointed ears and nape of the neck, the hinged lid for the filling hole missing, a ring handle at the back.
Height 9.9 cm.
