in two sections, the upper with a pair of arched and later-glazed doors enclosing a cupboard with later shelves and modified drawer arrangement using original drawer fronts, with two candle slides below; the fall front section with interior central cupboard flanked by drawers and pigeonholes; above two short and two long graduated drawers below, on later shaped bracket feet, the whole decorated with equestrian groups, buildings, plants, and fantastic animals, the sides with writhing vines, in various gold tones on a scarlet ground
