Five pieces, including work related to Titus in Trouble, comprising:

i) "He told her the whole sad story", 250 by 380mm., preliminary watercolour drawings on double-page spread, unsigned, the reverse with pencil notes on book production ("18 leaded 12 pts… 2 or more sets of columns could be used…" etc.), some browning, some creases; ii) Heads, 260 by 135mm., preliminary pencil drawings on cardboard folder (labelled "Babes in the Wood"), unsigned, some browning; iii) "So you likes a song, does you?", 150 by 165mm., ink drawing with green watercolour wash, unsigned, adhesive tape residue on reverse; iv) Departing coach scene, 155 by 390mm., ink and watercolour drawing, unsigned, some adhesive tape residue; v) Threatening Old Woman, 214 by 105mm., ink and watercolour drawing, unsigned, some adhesive tape residue on reverse

Items iii) to v) relate to Ardizzone's work Titus in Trouble, originally published by The Bodley Head in 1959.
