Slumdog Millionaire, is a British drama directed by Danny Boyle, and is a loose adaptation of the 2005 novel Q & A by Vikas Swarup.
The cast includes Dev Patel in his film debut, Frieda Pinot and Saurabh Shukla. Slumdog Millionaire centres on Jamal (Dev Patel), a young man from the slums of Mumbai, who astonishes viewers by reaching the final question on Kaun Banega Crorepati, the Hindi version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. Suspected of cheating, Jamal shares his life story, revealing how his harsh experiences provided him with the answers and set him on a path to find his lost love.
