The Big Lebowski was released in 1998, and from day one this international poster was highly sought-after. It is completely different from the regular US poster, and the present lot is an example of this very rare international style poster that does not surface very often.
This cult classic comedy directed by the Coen Brothers, centres on Jeffrey 'The Dude' Lebowski, an easy-going slacker who is mistaken for a wealthy man with the same name. After thugs ruin his rug in a case of mistaken identity, The Dude seeks restitution from the affluent Lebowski, only to become entangled in a strange kidnapping scheme. Alongside his quirky bowling friends, Walter and Donny, he navigates a chaotic world filled with nihilists, adult film figures, and eccentric artists—all while trying to maintain his relaxed, carefree existence.
