US Drive-in poster, unfolded, linen backed, unframed: 30 x 40 in. (76 x 102 cm).
This present lot was designed for drive-ins and special displays—printed on heavier paper stock, and distributed unfolded unlike the standard size poster. Over time many of this size poster were folded or destroyed, however, this particular piece has remained in its original state.
The Italian Job is one of the best loved British films, starring Michael Caine in what is perhaps his most famous role.
In this classic 60s comedy caper, Caine delivers one of cinema's best lines: "you were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"
