This exceptionally rare French poster is one of the most sought-after pieces from the 1950s, and hardly ever surfaces.
This French comedy directed and starring Jacques Tati, introduced us to Monsieur Hulot - the pipe-smoking, endearingly clumsy character. In this film Monsieur Hulot visits a seaside resort for a summer holiday. His well-meaning but bumbling behaviour unintentionally disrupts the peaceful routines of fellow guests, leading to a series of charming, whimsical mishaps. With minimal dialogue and a gentle, observational humour, the film captures the quirks of everyday life and the subtle peculiarities of social behaviour.
