THUNDERBALL. United Artists, 1971.

Italian Fotobusta poster, linen backed, unframed: 18 x 26 in. (45.8 x 66.2 cm).

This original photo montage artwork was used to create one of the Italian posters for the 1971 re-release campaign. It is being sold with a finished printed poster. Once the printers had the design artwork they would have hand coloured the negative before it was printed. This can be seen by the unrealistic use of colour on the finished poster. There is a perspex window on the back of the frame showing part of the film's Italian title.

This was the fourth in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions, and starring Sean Connery. The film was directed by Terence Young, who had directed the first two Bond films. James Bond films are well known for their gadgets. This film is no exception with the introduction of Bond's Bell Rocket Belt (developed by Bell Aircraft Corporation).
