Description

NIKE, NIKE AIR JORDAN VII, SIZE 13

Rubber, Leather, Cotton

2008

The Air Jordan VII 'Miró' was released in 2008 in celebration of the Beijing Summer Olympic Games. The design commemorates the original Air Jordan VII 'Olympic' that debuted in 1992 at the Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain when Michael Jordan wore them while playing for the ‘Dream Team,’ one of the greatest basketball rosters ever assembled.

The colorful silhouette is inspired by Joan Miró’s 72-foot sculpture Dona i Ocell (Woman and Bird) located in the artist’s hometown of Barcelona. In addition to the colorful upper, the sole is translucent revealing flags of various countries. Like the original Air Jordan VII 'Olympic' the 'Miró' places Jordan’s Olympic jersey number “9” on the heel. The shoes have multicolor laces and a packaged set of 5 additional laces, after the Olympic Rings, are included.

The pair on offer is a sample of the 2008 Air Jordan VII ‘Miró’ in Michael Jordan’s size 13. This shoe was remarkable due to its innovations in design and structure. The most notable change to the African art-inspired silhouette was the lack of a visible air bubble unit. Designed by legendary Nike creator Tinker Hatfield, he opted for a Jumpman logo on the perforated upper and embroidered “Jordan” across the tongue, in addition to Michael’s jersey number at the heel.
