These prints are film stills taken from Niki de Saint-Phalle’s first movie “Daddy”. Based on her own story, the movie represents an attempt to a therapeutic confrontation with her father. Through facing the taboos and depression of her private story, she creates a feminist affirmation and denunciation of the power of man in society.
In her recognizable manner, some of the images are highlighted in bright colours. These works have been printed in offset from her original hand colouring.
