The Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711 was first released in 2006 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the launch of the iconic Reference 3700 Nautilus. Initially introduced in steel only, it took just a year before Patek introduced pink, white, and yellow gold variants, such as the current watch, the 5711J. It is estimated that only 600 examples were produced over the model's lifetime, with fewer than two dozen resurfacing on the market, making this a rare and highly sought-after variation of the iconic Nautilus. While the stainless steel 5711/1A became one of the most desirable luxury sports watches of all time, the yellow gold (J) version adds an extra level of elegance and exclusivity.

The 5711J maintains the classic 40mm case with the signature porthole-inspired design by Gérald Genta. It typically features a warm champagne or silvered dial (such as the present lot) with horizontal ribbed embossing, complementing the luxurious gold case. Inside, it is powered by the Caliber 324 SC automatic movement, offering exceptional craftsmanship and reliability. As production of the 5711 series has ended, any variant—especially those in precious metals—has become a grail watch for collectors.
