woodblock print, surimono, embellished with metallic pigments and embossing, from the set Three Comparisons of Flowers (Hana awase sanban), signed Gakutei, privately issued, circa 1822; with collector’s seal of Gerhard Pulverer to the verso

 

Shikishiban surimono: 19.6 x 17.3 cm., 7¾ x 6⅞ in.
