Case: 18k yellow gold polished cushion-form case, bezel inlaid with black champlevé enamel interspersed by repeated gold roundels and framed by stylised millegrain decorative border, vis armurier screw-set lugs, case back secured by four gold screws to case sides, beaded cabochon sapphire-set crown, inside case back hand stamped 9390, 1, outside case back with hand stamped numbers 18760, 9390 and with rubbed assay mark in hexagonal cartouche

A rare and early decorative cushion-form model, the case’s bezel is filled with black enamel which is interspersed with a repeated gold ‘dot’ motif. This design can be found on a small number of other models from the period, including Carré, Tank and Tonneau models. The watch is also notable for its early Edmond Jaeger design deployant clasp that has a rectangular clasp closure.
