painted in the manner of J. G. Höroldt, the box with two vignettes of seated figures, one end with a squirrel beside a fruiting tree, the other with a basket of fruit, between scattered insects, the cover with two similar vignettes above a green-ground band with flower panels and a gilt scroll border, gilt rims, K.P.M. above crossed swords in underglaze-blue, numeral 64. in gilding to both pieces
