An archaistic white jade libation cup
Qing dynasty, 18th century
清十八世紀 白玉仿古螭龍紋盃
of rectangular section, the deep flattened U-shaped body rising from a short stepped foot and carved to the middle with a low relief archaistic C-scroll band, the rim carved to one side with high relief chilong amidst billowing cloud scrolls climbing up to the spout and to the other with a chilong forming the handle, the stone of pale celadon tone with scattered russet inclusions
Height 10.5 cm, 4⅛ in.
