Heraclides Lembus wrote a substantial history which survives only in fragments, but includes the epitome of the Athenian Constitution which appears here. For the editio princeps of Adamantius on physiognomy, based on an earlier text by Polemo (which precedes it in this volume), see lot 6. The work on divination by interpreting twitches (palmomancy) is attributed here to the soothsayer Melampus.
