A Kashan pottery bowl with stylised leaf motifs, Persia, early 13th century
of truncated conical form with flaring walls and straight vertical foot, the fritware body painted in blue with black outlines and dots under a transparent glaze, decorated with split palmettes, the exterior divided with stripes featuring stylised vegetal motifs
