This ‘NBA All-Star Edition’ prototype jersey was issued for Alperen Şengün for the 2025 All-Star Game on February 16, 2025. Şengün was selected as an All-Star and participated in the game as a member of Chuck’s Global Stars. This jersey was made by the NBA as a prototype before the all star roster was decided.
The Turkish phenom, Şengün, has gained the honorable nickname, 'Baby Jokic.' He has represented the Turkish national team since playing for their U-16 team in 2018 where they won a bronze medal at the FIBA Europe U-16 Championship. He also led the Turkey U-18 team to a silver medal at the FIBA Europe U-18 Championship and played for professional teams in Turkey before being drafted by the Rockets in 2021.
Alperen Şengün was drafted with the 16th pick in the 1st round of the 2021 NBA Draft. At the time of cataloging, he has career averages of 16 points per game, 8.6 rebounds per game, and 4.1 assists per game.
