This extraordinary one-of-a-kind Glenallachie Single Cask whisky was personally selected by legendary Master Distiller Billy Walker, who next year celebrates 50 years in the industry.

Presented at natural cask strength, without added colouring or chill filtration, this one-of-one bottle contains single malt drawn from an antique 1978 Sherry Puncheon (cask #1379).

After 42 glorious years of maturation, the rich mahogany spirit is steeped in indulgent sherried sophistication. This incredibly special Glenallachie expression, hand-signed by Billy Walker, was exclusively bottled for the Worshipful Company of Distillers.

The Glenallachie

One of Scotland’s few independently owned and managed distilleries, The Glenallachie is led by industry veteran, Billy Walker, who boasts an almost 50-year tenure in whisky.

With Billy and his team at the helm for the last 4 years, the firm emphasis is now on quality over quantity. This is why it chose to reduce its production capacity from 4m to 500,000 Litres of Alcohol, and increase its fermentation period to 160 hours for an ester rich, fruity spirit. These changes mean that the experts can be very hands-on with the spirit, regularly monitoring the slumbering casks within the 16 on-site warehouses, ensuring the whisky is bottled at its optimum.

With a focus on wood policy, Billy seeks out the finest casks from small niche producers around the world. Each cask is brought on-site to age The Glenallachie spirit. The warehouses currently hold over 50,000 casks.

GlenAllachie believes age and integrity matter, which is why all its whiskies carry an age statement, and are bottled at a minimum of 46% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered for maximum flavour experience.

The GlenAllachie won World’s Best Single Malt for its 10-year-old at the World Whiskies Awards 2021.

Having been built in 1967, The Glenallachie Distillery was brought into independent ownership in 2017 by Billy Walker and his team. Previously used to create Blended Scotch, The GlenAllachie is now one of the fastest growing Single Malt Scotch Whisky brands.
