Nice to meet you, I’m Mr. MiSUNDERSTOOD is the genesis piece from FEWOCiOUS' forthcoming FewoWorld metaverse fashion & generative character drop. The 1/1 lifesize sculpture is replete with a hand painted suit and sits in a custom acrylic case (40 inches wide, by 28 inches deep by 82 inches tall). The buyer of this physical piece will also receive an NFT of the ‘Mister MiSUNDERSTOOD’ origin story, and will later be airdropped an additional NFT, the first and rarest of many Fewo characters that will be revealed in a series of generative characters dropping later in 2021. In addition, the first 1/1 hand painted jeans, jacket, shirt, and shoes from the upcoming FEWOCiOUS clothing line drop are included with the sale in a custom suitcase.

Exploring notions of freedom, isolation and exploration, Nice to meet you, I’m Mr. MiSUNDERSTOOD is FEWOCiOUS’ first life size sculpture, which seeks to capture an intense fear of change, while simultaneously demonstrating a desperation for it. The present work wears an enchanted garment in the form of a vibrant suit; the first item of clothing FEWOCiOUS created and hand painted for his fashion line. The colourful suit represents his complicated and ever-changing relationship with masculinity, while the comics, advertisements, and literary fragments placed throughout the piece represent the heteronormative and culturally ingrained gender binaries FEWOCiOUS was raised to believe in.
Following his previous collection Hello, I'm Victor FEWOCiOUS and this is my life, a veracious retrospective about his struggles with his identity while growing up, the present work signals the future for FEWOCiOUS, looking forward into the next chapter of his life as an artist. To this end, the protagonist, Mr. MiSUNDERSTOOD, embodies deep, personal fears and anxieties that the artist has about human nature, and his own mind. Nice to meet you, I’m Mr. MiSUNDERSTOOD is thus a sculpture about defining yourself, and freeing yourself from artificial limitations, whilst finding a place in an unfeeling world.
WARNING: While the suit on the sculpture is removable and wearable, we recommend it remains in its case for preservation, though Fewo does hope the winning bidder can wear their Fewo clothes to a dinner with him sometime.
