
A s a digitally native artist and a huge proponent of blockchain technology, Grant Yun has always been an advocate for smart contract utilization. Creating non-fungible tokens on the Ethereum network as an artist is his way of helping push the boundaries of both blockchain technology and art. As an artist who identifies with the self-titled style of “Neo-Precisionism,” Yun has a unique vision and perspective to bring to the web3 community and to the overarching art world. Many of his inspirations are from the 20th-century regionalist, precisionist, suprematist, constructivist, and realist movements. By utilizing digital vector mediums in the 21st century, however, his vision and work process remains unique.
Special Delivery (2022) is a piece from the ongoing series “Life In Japan.” Many pieces from the series stem from Yun's early life experiences living in South Korea and Japan. This work attempts to relay emotions and feelings that are relatable to many, showcasing the beauty of everyday life and what is perceived of as mundane.
