Where From? Where Going? (2023) is a reflection of the artist's personal experiences and a commentary on society as a whole. It explores the journey of growing up and learning, which often leads to feelings of loneliness and disconnection from others. As we become more successful and conform to societal expectations, we can lose touch with our true selves and the ability to feel content.
Despite seeking the meaning of life, we are often disappointed by the mundanity of daily life and the sacrifices we must make. The vibrant image belies the underlying sense of loneliness and isolation that the protagonist experiences. As we look back on our lives, we may feel envious of our younger, more hopeful selves, but we are also filled with questions that remain unanswered.
This artwork challenges the viewer to contemplate the meaning of life and the trade-offs we make in order to navigate the complexities of the modern world.
