今年11月份,蘇富比隆重舉行「保羅‧梅隆夫人收藏」拍賣,呈獻2000多件珍品,集畢生收藏之大成,來自美國及海外之梅隆家族宅第。拍賣收益將撥捐支持杰拉德‧蘭伯特基金會。基金會致力推動園藝及教育發展,乃梅隆夫人為紀念其父所成立之慈善機構。

此系列拍賣將由11月10日的晚拍揭開序幕,精選藏品橫跨四個世紀,包括馬克.羅斯科、理查.迪本康、老安博休斯.博斯哈特、溫斯洛.荷馬、喬治亞.歐姬芙及愛德華.霍普等名藝術家之畫作,充分反映梅隆夫人在收藏方面慧眼獨具。

蘇富比亦將舉行梅隆夫人珠寶及工藝精品收藏專場拍賣,除了Vendura、斯倫貝謝及紀梵希等設計,還包含卡地亞、梵克雅寶及Black Starr & Frost等古董珠寶,極能展示梅隆夫人與其欣賞之設計師的密切關係。本拍賣呈獻之鮮彩藍色梨形鑽石,其色澤與希望之星鑽石頗為相近,是這次拍賣中最矚目的珍品。

為期三天的「保羅‧梅隆夫人收藏:室內裝飾」(11月21日至11月23日)將本次拍賣推向高潮,這一專場匯集來自梅隆家族宅第的美術品、家具、瓷器、銀器、玻璃器皿及裝飾精品等典藏,微妙捕捉梅隆家族的日常起居點滴,珍品紛呈,精彩可期。



「保羅‧梅隆夫人收藏:巨匠傑作」

11月10日

蘇富比將於11月10日的晚拍隆重呈獻「保羅‧梅隆夫人收藏:巨匠傑作」。拍品涵蓋17世紀靜物畫至20世紀的經典巨作,種類繁多,風格多樣,品味高雅,充分展示梅隆夫人的鑑賞深度,及其對收藏與生活的態度,彰顯收藏大家風範,於現世尤為難得。馬克.羅斯科1955年的畫作《無題(黃,橙,黃,淺橙)》捕捉破曉短暫的絢爛,是本次拍賣的焦點(估價2,000至3,000萬美元)。此畫於羅斯科藝術生涯的關鍵時期創作,而在他的巔峰年份創作的油畫僅22幅,其中13幅為重要博物館館藏。另外,是次拍賣亦包括羅斯科1970年的《無題》(估價1,500至2,000萬美元),該畫作為藝術家畢生創作巨作之中,最後兩幅之較早一幅。上述兩幅羅斯科畫作被梅隆收藏逾40年,至今方現身拍場。此外,理查.迪本康有名的《海洋公園》系列大型油畫亦將有三幅於是次拍賣亮相。此三幅鉅作於完成後不久便被梅隆家族在70年代納入珍藏。梅隆夫人收藏的西洋古典油畫拍品以老安博休斯.博斯哈特的《靜物》(估價300-400萬美元)為代表,而美國藝術則包括溫斯洛.荷馬、喬治亞.歐姬芙及愛德華.霍普的作品。

梅隆夫人個人珍藏珠寶及工藝精品,反映她與其欣賞的設計師之密切關係。拍品除了Verdura、斯倫貝謝及紀梵希等設計,還包括卡地亞、梵克雅寶及Black Starr & Frost等古董珠寶。本拍賣呈獻鮮彩藍色梨形鑽石,其色澤與希望之星鑽石相近,配以重要鮮彩藍鑽,是這次拍賣的矚目焦點。此外還呈獻精美卡地亞項鏈,項鏈扣鑲深彩黃色鑽石;以及多件精選珠寶、金飾及工藝精品,日間穿戴,光彩照人,既富現代美感,亦具古雅風姿。

梅隆夫人的珍罕收藏包括多件以蔬果植物為造型的瓷器,出自切爾西和梅森等名製造商,足以反映夫人對園藝的鍾愛。而是次上拍的英國及法國彩繪家具,令人聯想起梅隆夫人在橡木之春莊園的經典木地板。梅隆家族將這些家具置於宅第之內,陳設手法充分利用周遭壯麗環境,自然流露低調優雅的生活態度。從梅隆夫人的摯友迪亞哥·賈柯梅蒂的創作至紀梵希特別設計的床品,均能見證梅隆夫人與設計師及藝術家的緊密關係。

Mrs. Mellon’s personal jewels and objects of vertu reflect her close relationships with the designers she loved: pieces from Verdura, Schlumberger and Givenchy appear in the collection, as well period jewels from Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Black Starr & Frost. A magnificent and rare Fancy Vivid Blue pear-shaped diamond – its color reminiscent of the Hope Diamond – paired with an important Fancy Blue Diamond anchor the collection, which also offers an exquisite Diamond Rivière by Cartier, the tapered line of diamonds completed by a Fancy Deep Yellow diamond clasp. In addition
to these pieces, the auction will include an attractive array of wearable daytime jewels, gold accessories and objects of vertu, both modern and antique.

The Interiors auction will offer fine art, furniture, porcelain, silver, glassware, decoration and more from Mrs. Mellon’s residences in the United States and abroad, which together provide a rare window into an era of collecting, living and entertaining that has since passed. Her love of horticulture is evident throughout the collection, including the significant selection of rare porcelain in vegetable, fruit and botanical forms, by celebrated makers such as Chelsea and Meissen. Her
English and French furniture – often painted, echoing the signature wood floors of her Oak Spring Farms residence – exudes the understated elegance of the Mellons’ life, and was arranged always to take advantage of their spectacular surroundings in any given location. Mrs. Mellon’s close relationships with designers and artists are demonstrated again throughout the Interiors sale, from several works created by her longtime friend Diego Giacometti to linens bearing a custom design by Givenchy.
