Albertine Verlinde joined Sotheby’s in the fall of 1979 and in her current role leads Sotheby’s client and business development activities in Holland, as well as serving as Senior Auctioneer.
She began her career as head of the International Office being responsible for the international valuation and sales activities. In this role she was part of the international client team supporting key sales in London, New York, Geneva, St.Moritz, Monte Carlo and important auctions held in Europe. These include the House Sales of Beloeil, Thurn und Taxis in Regensburg, Baden Baden and the Royal House of Hannover.
Albertine has been instrumental in the successful Dutch sales of several important collections, such as the Bûtot, Ritman, Unicorno, Frits Philips, British American Tobacco and the estate of Queen Juliana of the Netherlands.
