LONDON - World-renowned independent watchmaker Roger W. Smith will offer his insight into watchmaking at Sotheby’s in New Bond Street on 13 July. He was apprentice to Dr. George Daniels, CBE, considered the greatest watchmaker of the last 250 years and whose collection was sold by Sotheby’s in 2012 and broke all records.
Roger will also be displaying some of his exceptional watches, including the GREAT Britain wristwatch. Made for the government’s recent GREAT Britain campaign, this watch has possibly the most complex dial ever designed and made by hand.
In addition you can bring your watch to Sotheby’s and discover its auction value. My colleague Nathalie Marielloni and I will be available from 12 noon until 5 pm for valuations and advice, so please contact us for an appointment.
