Alongside the events, galleries across the city will be unveiling breathtaking Old Masters alongside Modern and Contemporary drawings and Sotheby’s Paris will be hosting a Bernard Boutet de Monvel collection of more than 200 drawings.

At the end of April, the Bibliothèque R. & B.L. Dada-Surréalisme auction will feature manuscripts and correspondence by the great names in Dada and Surrealism, including an outstanding unpublished and highly illustrated notebook by Dalí.

Dalí once said, "Drawing is the honesty of art. There is no possibility of cheating. It’s good or bad, that’s it." The notebook contains ink drawings, sketches and thoughts alongside daily expenses.
Last year Sotheby’s achieved more than 23 world auction records for leading comic strip artists from around the globe and the Bande Dessinée auction in May includes work by Winsor McCay, who continues to fascinate illustrators around the world.
