Presented for the first time as two collecting categories, Latin American Art achieved a strong combined sales total of $21.1 million. Led by Rufino Tamayo's Bañistas En Cancún at $1,570,000, the Modern Art auction totalled $13,402,750. The star lot was followed by Armando Morales' long-paneled Cuatro Bañistas En Canal De Plantación, which sold for $982,000.
