A set of three Victorian mahogany campaign bookcases, mid-19th century
in George III style, the upper section with swan-neck pediments over glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the lower section with doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the sides mounted with brass lifting handles
each 184cm. high, 87cm. wide, 35cm. deep; 6ft. ½in., 2ft. 10in., 1ft. 1¾in.
Possibly acquired by James Andrew Broun-Ramsay, Marquess of Dalhousie (1812-1860) for his time in India.
