The canvas is unlined. There are a few very small spots of retouching at the upper edge and two very small spots of retouching at the middle of the right edge, visible under ultra-violet light. Apart from a small area of paint loss on the light brown pigment near the centre of the lower edge, and a slight horizontal stretcher mark at the top edge, this work is in good condition.
Colours: In comparison with the printed catalogue illustration, the sky has a more blue and less grey tonality in the original.
