The monogram may be for a member of the Kinsey family of New Jersey and Philadelphia, prominent patrons of Bayly.

The same feet occur on a salver by John Bayly, Jr., for the Gray family, formerly in the Cornelius Moore collection (sold Sotheby's, New York, January 31, 1986, lot 140A, as John Bayly [no indication of Senior or Junior]).
