The lot is in overall fine condition. Each stick shows various wear, discoloration and residue commensurate with their age and use. Some examples show scattered pitting to the surface. There are seven examples that have old solder repairs, these include the pair of spiral candlesticks, the chamberstick (where there is visible separation at the base where it meets the shaft), one foliate base candlestick, on octagonal base stick, the heemskirk candlestick and the square base candlestick with canted corners.
