拍品資料及來源

This volume is concerned with the "elementary arithmetical operations, including very short mentions of duplation and mediation, then repeats the same material when dealing with fractions. The rest of the work is concerned with examples of various types of commercial arithmetic" (Tomash & Williams). We are not able to trace this volume in the standard references. An edition of 1662 from the same press is cited by Gerhard Kay Birkner, "Lübecker Familienzwist um ein Rechenbuch; Zur Identifikation eines verschollenen Drucks von Franz Brassers Rechenbuch aus dem Jahre 1677" in Wolfenbütteler Notizen zur Buchgeschichte 23 (1998), p.75; a copy of an edition dated 1663 is in Bremen Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek (Brem.c.1037, digitised). Four editions of similar works by the author published at Hamburg are recorded by VD17.
