The proceedings of a very early computer calculating machine conference held in Paris on 8-13 January 1951, describing many of the early machines (both analog and digital) such as Howard Aiken's Mark IV, the Manchester Mark I, the Swedish BARK digital computer and those produced by Leonardo Torres y Quevedo. The conference attracted 268 participants from Europe and North America.
