The title-page declares this to be "The third edition, diligently corrected and enlarged by the author himself". In his numbering of editions Wingate apparently considered the original edition Arithmetique Logorithmique which he published at Paris in 1626 as the first; the second edition to be the Logorithmotechnia published at London in 1635; and the present edition the third.
