Schott's Organum mathematicum was published posthumously with sections on arithmetic, geometry, fortification, astronomy, astrology, cryptography and music. Schott was a pupil of Kircher and in Pantometrum Kircherianum he describes a form of surveyor's plane table (called by Kircher a pantometrum) as well as a few other instruments.
