A guide for merchants containing conversion tables of the weights and measures used in the principal Mediterranean markets and lists of traded commodities. For those readers who were not familiar with "the customs of Damascus and the conditions there", he publishes a nine-page list of commodities from Venice that were marketable in Damascus (Li costumi & le conditione de Damasco, f. 50 etc). Among these are blue pigments (zaffera), which could be bought in Merano and sold in Damascus.
