Froben was a pupil of Tycho Brahe at Hven, and went on to become a noted publisher in Hamburg. This work is on on spherical trigonometry as used in astronomy. An engraved portrait is found in a few copies (see VD17, where an “Alternativer Fingerprint” for the majority of copies which have no portrait).
