A lexicon of Greek mathematical terms, compiled by the professor of mathematics at Strassburg university, editor of Euclid, translator of Hero of Alexandria, Theodosius of Bithynia, and Autolycus of Pitane. Dasypodius applied the knowledge he absorbed from these and other ancient authors to making machines, notably the astronomical clock in Strassburg Cathedral, which was built to his design by the clock-makers Isaac and Josias Habrecht.
