FINE PAIR OF NATURAL PEARL AND DIAMOND PENDANTS, 18TH CENTURY

Each set with a cushion-shaped diamond supporting a a drop shaped natural pearl measuring approximately 11.30 x 11.80 x 19.50mm and 10.75 x 11.80 x 21.00mm respectively, capped with rose diamonds, one partly set with rose diamonds to the obverse only, one rose diamond deficient.

Formerly in the collection of Empress Marie Thérèse of the Holy Roman Empire (1717-1780). Princess Marie Anne de Bourbon Parme states in her inventory:

"Boucles d'oreilles belles poires en perles surmontées d'un diamant. Cadeau de ma mère lors de ses noces d'or, provenant de l'Archiduchesse Marie (Rainier), ayant appartenu à l'Impératrice Marie Thérèse".

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 98108, stating that the drop shaped pearls measuring approximately 11.30 x 11.80 x 19.50mm and 10.75 x 11.80 x 21.00mm, were found to be natural, saltwater. Natural pearls of white to slightly cream body colour, with growth marks and blemishes, partly with rosé and green overtones. For more information on the pearls, please refer to the SSEF report. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of wear and scratches to the metal. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 9 grams. One small diamond deficient.
