Condition
The board appears to be sound. There appears to be an old restored damage to the right of the figure, in which some craquelure is evident. There is a small chip in the extreme lower left corner. There are two notable areas of accretion in the upper left corner, and lower right corner which are most probably the remnants of a previous slip and framing. There are handling marks to the edges. There is surface dirt and studio matter throughout. This excepting the work appears to be in good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light confirms the presence of the previously mentioned retouching. The work is window mounted and held within a wooden slip and gilt wood frame.
