The board bows slightly but appears sound. There is one spot of historic loss towards the lower right corner with further areas of raw board that are the Artist's intention from scoring the board. There are some very fine lines of cracking to a raised area of pink pigment towards the right edge below centre. There is some probable rubbing and flattening to raised areas of impasto. There is surface dirt and probable instances of studio matter in places. Subject to the above, the work appears in very good condition.
Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of retouching.
The work is held in a simple wooden frame.
